Fishing in the area
Fisheries
There are two other large fisheries within a short drive from your holiday cottage, Quarter Fishery, near Hamilton and Arran Fishery, near Galston.
Suitable for all ages. I’ve found them very helpful in dealing with people, especially children, who want to try fishing for the first time. Rods and equipment can be hired.

River fishing
There are also many rivers in the area. Details are available in the information books in the Lodge. Fishing permits are available from Strathaven.

Sea fishing
The sea is 30 minutes to Irvine and 50 minutes to Ayr from your holiday cottage.

Fresh water fishing
There is lots of fresh water fishing available in the area with fishing permits available in Strathaven.
