Drumboy Lodge – terms and conditions
Weeks normally run from Friday to Friday. Please contact us for any other combination of dates you require and we will try our best to accommodate you.
We are, at present, and continue to follow government advice affecting the self catering sector during this COVID-19 pandemic. We want to make clear the steps we are following so that you will feel more comfortable coming to stay in our lodge.
We are following new stringent cleaning regimes. (A copy can be provided on request) All cleaning staff will wear PPE when in the lodge. We will do a quick clean, then a deep clean, then will use a disinfectant fogger which disperses virucidal disinfectant throughout the property.
You will be required to bring your own PPE for use during your stay, but there will be hand sanitiser available for use at the entrance to the property.
You must do your own risk assessment of all of the guests planning to come to stay, and make your own judgements on whether or not you think it is safe for them, and you, to come to stay , be particularly mindful of the elderly and those with underlying health conditions.
Please do not travel to us if anyone in your party is unwell. You must stay at home. You must notify me immediately if any member of your party becomes unwell during your stay. Our understanding is, that should a guest be unable to leave through illness or self-quarantine, and there is another family due to arrive, the second family will have their stay cancelled and a refund will be given to them. The guest that is having to extend their stay will have to pay for the extra days they are having to stay.
We have had to remove all ‘the personal touches’ that we previously had in the lodge, such as cushions, throws, ornaments, books, shampoo etc and information leaflets, as we cannot wipe them down between guest visits. This can hopefully relax as time goes on !
Please note that most information on what to do and see in the area are on our website, but please contact them before you try to visit, as opening times or conditions of visit may vary to published ones.
The kitchen will have a bare minimum of glasses, crockery, cutlery and pans, as we have to wash them all again between bookings.
The kids room will be closed to visitors, as again it is not possible to sterilise so many toys between visits.
We would ask that beds are stripped down to the mattress and pillow protectors at the end of your stay, and the linen is left in the hallway, along with all the towels. We would ask that a couple of windows are left open to allow air flow. We must leave the house empty for 2 hours after you leave before we start to clean. This means that there will now need to be 24 hours between guests leaving and new guests arriving.
Coming to chat to our quests and making sure you have everything for your stay is very important to me, but I must now make sure I socially distance from you, and that also means that for now horse riding and farm visits are off the agenda. I am so sad about this. Again I am hoping this is only temporary!

Other Ts and Cs
Arrival from 2 pm on arrival date to 10 am departure date. We try to be as flexible as we can.
Bookings will not be accepted by anyone under 25.
Hen and Stag parties are not accepted.
The owners reserve the right to decline a booking, for any reason.
Please note : Only the persons booked into the Lodge may enter / stay in the Lodge.
The hirer only has the right to occupy the property for the period agreed.
The owners reserve the right to decline admittance to any person or persons who, in their opinion, is not suitable to take charge of the property. In such cases a full refund will be made, and the liability of the owners shall cease. No claims will be made against the owners for circumstances out with their control, which prevents them from letting the Lodge, e.g. fire, flood etc.
The hirer will be responsible for the condition of the Lodge, any breakages and it’s entire contents during the hire period. The hirer (person responsible), will be deemed to be the person who made the booking.
All damage or breakages must be reported, and any substantial ones, paid for.
The Lodge must be left in a clean, neat and tidy condition.
Prices include all bed linen, towels and Wi Fi.
For two week hires, the Lodge will be cleaned and sheets changed each Friday. Please note this can only be carried out if the Lodge and it’s contents are left tidy.
Electricity and central heating and Wi-Fi are included in price.
We are not VAT registered.
Outside bins are emptied every Thursday.
Drumboy Lodge is a non-smoking area. Smoking is however, permitted in the garden.
Because the Lodge is built on a working farm, please note, no pets are allowed.
A deposit of £150 is payable on all bookings. All bank charges and card charges are payable by you.
All deposits are non refundable. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
A booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received, and a confirmation sent by T & G Dunbar.
The balance of the holiday is due one week before the arrival date. Non payment by this time, will indicate that you wish to cancel your holiday. Please arrange your own cancellation insurance to provide for refund in the event of circumstances causing cancellation, if you wish.
The owners believe the information on their website to be correct, but cannot accept any liability for any errors or misunderstandings.
The owners of the Lodge do not accept any liability for loss, damage, illness or injury suffered by persons whilst staying at the Lodge.
It is important that you enjoy your stay, and every effort has been made to ensure this, however, in the unlikely event of dissatisfaction, please contact the owners immediately so that the problem can be rectified.
